More than ever, the skills, knowledge, and conditions for resilience need to be strengthened. This requires new ways of thinking, planning, and acting that build on existing community, business, and organizational strengths and assets, motivate cross sector collaboration, and inspire democratic leadership. Reducing the vulnerability of individuals and communities and increasing social equity is a critical part of this work.
